    Friendship
It’s been long that I ponder
That ‘friendship’ is also a flower
Like a ‘Moss Rose’ or a ‘Nuphar’
    Its stem brittle and slender
    Is heartless, he who knowingly
Hurts the life of this vine so tender

In the land of mind for you and I
A gesture or word, first perceived
Is right when its seed is sown
‘Love’ is the water, sun and the light wind
For leaves and fruits that would be grown

If it yields, the face of life looks most charming
This sweet soul within you resolving
No need for no one, no thing
To become all you are longing

Life, is the warmth of hearts bond together
If there are no friends, doors are fastened
If in your mind, this flower is not yet born
If its reviving scent of love, not yet reached your soul

Should seed the dry land, anew
Bring water and sun and light wind, with heart
    Shall sacrifice, cherish and love

With a look that lightens souls
With a greeting that brightens smiles
Let’s give our hands together and shake with love
Tend the cup of sympathy from our heart
    and sing aloud
    Your soul is blessed!
You who bring joy to ones eyes
The garden of your heart be fresh, perfumed and flowered

Dizi

2/18/2013

Dizi (dee-zee) is a traditional Persian food named after the ware it is served in. Dizi is a thin soup or ‘Abgousht’, that has been cooked for centuries in Iran and served most often in Tea Houses around the country but recently this traditional food is sold as a fast food by popular chain restaurants in big cities.

The long preparation of Dizi is done in special handmade terracotta, metal or stone ware and the recipes vary a lot depending on the individual or regional taste. Dizi consists of fat lamb meat (1 ½ pound), chickpeas + white beans (1cup), whole onions (2 boiled until soft and removed), potatoes (4-5 small cut in half), and tomatoes (3 added last), spiced up with garlic (1 clove), dried lime (some), tomato paste (2 Tbsp), turmeric, cinnamon, salt and pepper (as desired). The Dizi is let in the oven at low temperature.

Once Dizi is ready, the juice is drained and is served with rice or flat bread, while the rest is pounded and eaten along with bread and fresh herbs, pickles or chutney, or sandwiched when cold with white cheese and herbs or with salad leaves and fresh lemon or sour orange juice, etc.

The city of Paris is situated on the river Seine, in northern France. There are 37 bridges connecting the two banks of the river Seine in Paris. The city and its river inspired many artists in the last two centuries.

All along ‘la Seine’, there are many famous monuments, streets, parks and shops to visit. Notre Dame Cathedral is one of the most visited among these historical monuments.

The most popular place to seek picnic space, iron chairs for reading, fresh air and sun, stroll, and play is at the Jardin du Luxembourg, a  wonderful garden established by Italian monarch Marie de Medicis in the mid-17th century.

For centuries, the city of Paris had been a labyrinth of narrow streets and  half-timber houses, but with the urban remodeling project of the city, entire districts were leveled to make way for wide avenues and boulevards. The 1.91 km (1.18 mi) avenue of Champs-Élysées is one of the most beautiful streets in the world for upscale shopping and is a principal tourist destinations in Paris.
